Proof of the draw

A seal anyone can check

Every draw leaves a certificate: the time, the list, its SHA-256 fingerprint, the seed and the result, with an eight-character code. Whoever gets it opens the link and the draw runs again in their browser. Change one name or number and the code stops matching.

Why we keep nothing

Most draw sites send your list to their server and draw there. Lacre draws in your browser, using your device's cryptographic random generator, so no name gets an edge.

In Secret Santa, each person's result travels encrypted inside their own link. There's no database to leak and no password to forget.

Is it really free?

Yes. There's no paid plan, no limit on names and no sign-up.

Why is there no cookie banner?

We don't use advertising or analytics cookies. Your wheel lists and your Secret Santa draft stay in your own browser.

Is the draw truly random?

It uses your browser's cryptographic generator and throws away the values that would favor some numbers over others. With the certificate, anyone can check the result.

Can I use it for a raffle?

Lacre only picks winners. It doesn't sell tickets or handle prizes, and raffles that sell tickets are regulated in many places.

Does it work outside the US?

Yes. Pick £, $ or € for the Secret Santa budget, and use the country switch at the top for the Spanish and Portuguese versions.
